Ex USA President Confirms the US Has Lost Its Superpower Role to the BRICS

Former American President Jimmy Carter said the US is relinquishing its Global Super Power roles to the rise of the BRICS Countries at the McCloskey Speaker Series in Colorado in June.

Outlining his views on the current American political and cultural climates, Carter said America has fallen far off track from its ideals.

“This may not be the best thing to say to a group of Americans, but I think the historical trend is for the U.S. to relinquish its unquestioned domination of the world’s politics and economy and cultural influence,” he said.

“I believe that the BRICS countries – China is rising, Russia is going to come back, and other countries also, Brazil and India – are increasing their influence compared with ten years ago.”

Asked whether or not it’s a good or bad thing, Carter said it could be a good thing, stating that countries such as China and Russia are rising to fit into these roles.

He doled out further sharp criticism of his country labelling the USA as the most warlike country on earth, laggard in addressing the problem of global warming, and of violating of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Not blaming President Barack Obama, Carter said that circumstances have evolved.

Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn shared a glimpse into their personal and professional lives at the first event of the Speaker Series.
