Harrods is undeniably the world’s most famous and most prestigious department store. The store was opened in 1834, and in its history has been home to some of the world’s most iconic fashion brands. However, clothing is not the only area in which Harrods is legendary. Harrods is home to an array of restaurants, and its food halls boast produce and fine products from around the world. Joining these, the award-winning Peruvian restaurant LIMA.

“We are extremely excited to be welcoming LIMA to the Harrods Food Hall, a fantastic addition to the diverse food scene within the store. As a market leader in food trends, offering our loyal customers the best and latest in food is at the fore of our brand values and LIMA brings something extremely innovative to the current offering; the cuisine is unique and exceptionally well executed. LIMA will join the Food Halls in March as we celebrate the best of food produce with our ‘Cracking Gourmet’ store campaign.” – Bruce Langlands, Director of Food and Restaurants at Harrods

On the 1st of March, the owners of the award-winning LIMA Fitzrovia and LIMA Floral will make their debut at the world-famous Harrods Food Hall. Offering a variety of Peruvian delicacies, the deli menu is designed for a take-away lunch or dinner on the go. Customers are spoilt for choice, with traditional Peruvian dishes including huancainabeef or chicken empanadas, and various anticuchos, a variety of Peruvian street food that dates back to the pre-Columbian era.

An homage to Peruvian food, past and present, the LIMA range at Harrods will use vibrant flavours and techniques both ancient and modern to encapsulate the full gastronomic brilliance of the Latin American nation.

We are thrilled to be partnering with Harrods and honoured to be present in such an iconic institution. It is a great opportunity for us to showcase our food and passion for gastronomy, adapted to a retail format.” – Gabriel Gonzalez, co-founder and Managing Director of LIMA Fitzrovia and LIMA Floral

LIMA Fitrovia was first opened in 2012, and was awarded a Michelin Star the following year. LIMA Floral, which opened in July 2014, is the second London-based restaurant by the acclaimed Peruvian chef and restaurateur Virgilio Martinez and co-owners, Gabriel and Jose-Luiz Gonzalez. Launching in March 2016, LIMA Harrods will mark the first product range from the team behind LIMA Fitzrovia and LIMA Floral restaurants.
