Dubai Reaches New Heights With The Royal Atlantis

It has been seven years since Dubai unveiled its majestic ocean-themed hotel The Atlantis on the prestigious Palm. Now the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) and Kerzner International Holdings are set to add to the Gulf’s spectacular skyline with The Royal Atlantis Residences and Resort. The $1.4 billion project is expected to be completed by 2017 and will no doubt be a playground for the rich and famous. In 2016, the ICD is also expected to complete The Atlantis Hotel Resort in China. Located in the Hainan Province, the hotel will be the first of its kind in China and will span over 60 hectares of land. The expansion of The Atlantis is Dubai is their landmark project.

“This next phase of Atlantis, including the luxury residences of The Royal Atlantis, will continue to drive the growth of Dubai forward. The investment reaffirms ICD’s commitment to support the long-term growth of our domestic hospitality market, a key pillar and growth sector for the Dubai economy” – Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, CEO of ICD, Gulf Business

In contrast to The Atlantis, which was inspired by the fabled lost city, the architectural design, by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and GA Design, will showcase a stunning contemporary style with a series of glass boxes stacked on top of each other with subtle geometric Arabic touches. The 800 room hotel will reach 46 storey’s high and include a Sky Pool 90m above The Palm. It will also feature an indulgent Givenchy spa with traditional and holistic practices and a state of the art fitness centre. World-class restaurants with menus by celebrity chefs such as Gordon Ramsey will also be featured, the resort also boasting exotic marine life, and new entertainment and gaming experiences. The Royal Atlantis Residences and Resort in Dubai will surely set a new standard for luxury.
